Can't stop Notifications in mobile app

I have turned off notifications, but they keep coming every day. Always between 1145PM and 12 MN. They are always topics I have no interest in.

I usually use my desktop for this forum, so if this doesn't stop, I will delete the app on my phone.

Another issue is that my Norton Mobile Security app has identified IRV2 as a privacy risk as you are sharing our email addresses, which leads to spamming and phishing attacks.

I can't answer your notifications issue, but I can tell you we do not share email addresses. We use your email address to send you notifications on threads to which you subscribed, notifications of PM's (both of which you would have authorized in your User CP) & to send you the occasional newsletter.

Not sure about Android but Apple has push notifications in the settings of the app.

Here’s the settings page



Select push notifications



Turn off all buttons.



Route 66 has an Android , hopefully he can point to these there.

On my Samsung Galaxy S6 phone and my Samsung Galaxy S4 tablet Android app on the main forum page,

tap the 3 bars at the top left,

tap Settings,

tap Push Notifications,

set to Off.

If still receiving notifications, try uninstalling the app and reinstalling, which is the usual fix for any app's problems.

Check the notifications settings after reinstalling.

I don't get notifications on either device.
