Captcha anti-robot tool is junk!
I just spent a good deal of time (again) writing a post in an attempt to help a new member with an engine problem only to get white-paged by Captcha. Can't you folks get something that works!

Captcha anti-robot extension is something you must have loaded on your browser. Try disabling it. Also, you could copy your entry before trying to post it, then paste it again if it didn't work. It would also help if you identify what OS and browser you're using. I've never encountered Captcha anti-robot when posting to iRV2.

Steve I'm sorry you had trouble. A few weeks ago the site came under a substantial DDoS attack and we added a fire wall to prevent future problems. Unfortunately it has caused some issues for those logging in from out of the country and using vpns as well as snagging links in pms. We're slowly adjusting the security level to find a good balance between reasonable security and obstructive safety. Thanks for letting us know about this - we continue to tweak settings.

Thank you for addressing my concern Janet. What happened this time was even though I wrote my post on Word I didn’t make note of the forum that the query came from. Sooo after being hit with the dreaded white page I still had my post but I didn’t know what forum to go back to. I suppose in the future when I start to write my post in Word I can also make note of the forum (one more thing to remember!). I think what may have triggered captcha was I included a link to another irv2 forum in my post. The fact that it was to an irv2 forum didn’t matter to the captcha robot-killer, all it saw was a link posted (Lion’s and tiger’s and bear’s! Oh my!) and it shut me down. Live and learn (heavy sigh!).

I feel your pain! I tried to post an ad yesterday, twice I finished the ad (luckily I typed up the verbiage in word) hit post, got the captcha, did it, ad disappeared, but never posted. Third time was a charm . . . checked today to make sure the ad didn't post multiple times. It didn't. Also got the captcha several times yesterday when posting replies to threads. The posts went through, but it is a pain . . .

If you had gone to your 'History' it should have been the last entry listed.
