We had a brief service interruption this morning (about 3 minutes) that probably caused your issue. Ordinarily, messages from different members should be able to post at the same time.

I use 2 different PCs, one on 98, one on Vista, both with AVG.

Both IE and FF work fine on both machines, with IE being slower on both.
I am using Avg on (2) LT's and Avast on the other one.

JC2, how are you connecting to the web? Is there a proxy server in used that could be caching something?

All of the LT's are accessing wirelessly via a router. A couple of other things for thought:

1. The error message does not occur with FireFox.(I'm not a big fan but will consider a possible change if the problem becomes an annoyance. A solution needs to be found though as I don't just walk away from a problem without finding out the answer.)
2. I will on occasion also get the following error message:

"Internet Explorer has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

I then either click the X in the upper right corner of the screen to close or click the close program box and everthing then continues working ok.

I switched to Fire Fox because that happened too frequently.

The strange thing is that it's happening on more then one computer. If it was just on one machine I would recommend uninstalling and reinstalling IE.

Have you tried upgrading to IE8? It's MUCH faster.
