How do I change emails received?

I need to change the amount of emails I get from this site. How do I do that

Guessing you are probably talking about posts you are subscribed to.... at the bottom of the email it has a link you can click on to UN-subscribe from a thread. Click on that and a window will open saying that you are UN-subscribed and do that to each email and BINGO... no more emails. Hope that helps.

If you don't subscribe to any topics, you won't get any emails except notifications that a PM (Personal Message) has been sent to you.


You may have at some point taken the option to subscribe and receive emails as the default action. If so, go to USER CP (button on menu) and select Edit Options and change the default options as desired. I think this link will get you there directly, but not sure if it will work for everybody.

To change email notifications:
1. Click on the User CP tab
2. Click on Edit Options from the left column
3. Scroll down to the Default Thread Subscription Mode section and then choose your preferred method from the drop dowm menu:
Do not subscribe
No email notification
Instant email notification
Daily email notification
Weekly email notification
4. Scroll to the page bottom and click on Save Changes

That seems to be for thread subscriptions, what about entire forum subscriptions? When I subscribed, I believe I set it to email me weekly. What If I wanted it to email me daily or something else instead for a forum I already subscribed to? Would I have to unsubscribe and then resubscribe to get that option?

There is no option to have emails sent to you for an entire Forum (sometimes called a Board) or Sub-Forum activity.

But, you can "subscribe" to Forums and sub-Forums - then, when you open your User CP (Control Panel) page, any Forums with new posts will populate with a lightbulb icon next to the Forum title.
