Thanks so much. Some of these macho gun discussions can get scary from the statements members make.

interesting....
I gotta say to me, these discussion have merit, and I'll miss them. I think it's short sighted of "management" to adopt a "hide our heads under a bushel" approach, and will miss some of these more spirted discussions.
Those I didn't like, such as the gun toters, well, I just didn't read em.

Try RV.net......but they even had to crack down recently. It was getting out of hand. The RV talk is very interesting without the back biting.

Kind of the same here except those from "gun haters" I just don't read.

I agree with your "rule change". If someone wants to engage in political or Ammendment 2 discussions there are other places for them to do so.

That's funny. I quit going there due to the overhanded "moderating". It was OK to discuss illegal things, but not Constitutionally protected rights.

We have known for years that political and religious discussions can never remain civil for very long. There are plenty of forms that you can comment on these two items to your hearts content. I come here for RVing.

I find myself somewhat disappointed as I thought when I found this forum I had stumbled into a breath of fresh air. With a couple of rare exceptions I thought the mods did a good job of cutting off discussions when they got out of hand. There were also a couple of occations when I thought the cut off was very short sighted, but over all I thought they did a reasonable job. The above subjects, IMHO are part of RVing and that is why open minded moderators are needed to manage not only this forum, but any forum.
