iRV2 Pushing Files

Both on my work and home computers this afternoon, my firewall has blocked a forced file download that occurs whenever I open threads or change screens. The file in question is only 21 bytes and named pcon.js and it's coming from www.wtp101.com

What's going on?? Obviously I'm not about to permit the download of any file I didn't ask for from a source I don't recognize.

I haven't seen this, so odds are it's coming from one of the ads services (I have blocking utilities in place that gut all of the advertising off of irV2 when I view it, so problems caused by them never appear on my browser).

Doing some Googling, it started showing up this afternoon in a number of forums. Apparently it's being pushed down by something in GoogleAds - that seems to be the common denominator. It's being reported as a virus by a poster on the Norton site, but I haven't seen an authoritative confirmation yet.

Try doing a google search on the file name, pcon.js. I found this particular result a bit troubling.

Sigh...... check your ads again for viruses

Just saying...

btw most entries regarding this file are within the last 24 hours.

Sorry, but I don't get to pick the software that runs on my work computer.
