This problem started for me about 2 weeks ago. I have gone through all the resets, have the ads off set, etc. I'm running XP sp3 and have absolutely no problems with any web site but IRV2. I'm wondering if all the work on the new homepage is somehow causing a conflict.

Can you try deleting your cache and all your irv2 cookies? You might have a corrupted cookie stored or an old page cached that no longer really exists.

Good idea Janet...
fyi,
I've got horrible uverse service and I've not had an issue with IRV2 even though I've been on daily....
Do you leave your pc on all the time
or use the sleep mode on a laptop ?
Have your rebooted recently ?
Is it possible it's from one region that are going thru a similar set of hops ?

I, too, have noticed a severe slow-up of iRV2 sites that appear nowhere else. In addition, unlike any other site, the back button has no effect.
All our computers (W7 & XP with 4gB+ RAM) experience the same.
I've turned off the right column and it has little to no impact.
What's up with this ????????

We're not experiencing any problems with our servers now and most of us are not having a problem.
Did you try Janet's suggestion in post #31?

Hey 66,
Actually, I just did.
What tipped me off was that after I selected to not show the right column, when I used my 'Favorites' to select the site, the right column magically re-appeared.
Then I reloaded the iRV2 sites to 'Favorites' and the 'Back' button now works as it should.
However, although now workable, the iRV2 sites still load slower than anything else.

MS. Janet,
I removed al IRV2 cookiies and cache from my computer. The result was to cause IRV2 to timeout and stop responding when i tried to open it. After 3 tries and waiting for close to 80 seconds, I was finally able to login. After clicking "CP" and waiting another 45 seconds, this forum finally came up. My PC performance has not deteriorated on any other web site. I am running IE 8.0 with all the latest updates from MS.

Are you using IE? We have previously found that IE is slower than Firefox and Chrome as IE doesn't display anything until the entire page loads.
I'm using Chrome and have no problems with speed of accessing iRV2. I just tried IE and it was slower, but only by a few seconds.
These speed issues have traditionally been localized, which is why the 'tracert' is essential in trying to find the problem.

Yep. It's IE. But it's tolerable since I re-loaded 'Favorites'.
Thanx.

Some additional info
I have been watching the bar at the bottom that shows what is trying to load after I click on something. There are several things that show up there while I am waiting. Most of them show for 10 to 15 seconds before the page finally loads. Usually it's only one of them, but sometimes more than one.
The most common is: ads.pointroll.com/portalservice..........
Usually there is some kind of error message that flashes on for just a second when the address above disappears.
Others are:
ad.turn.com/server/ads..........
pagead2.googlesyndication........
facebook.com/plugins/...........
Does this tell any of you computer gurus what may be happening?

Could this have anything to do with disabling Java which I did at the recommendations of Homeland Security?

Never mind, I just enabled Java again and it still does the same thing!
