iRV2 With Windows 7 Glitch

This probably is not the section for this, but, as it happened to me here, I will post the issue and the resolution.

Since about Saturday, or so, I was unable to post on irv2 only. I could type my message but, when I tried to post it, it would say something like, "Message must be at least three letters" and would fail to post. I contacted the admin and was told to try emptying the cookies. That did not work.

So I used my other laptop which runs on XP Pro. It worked fine.

I took my Windows 7 laptop to my IT guy at my office. He corrected it in no time. The issue was the "Compatibility View Settings", accessed in the tools drop down on the right side. It just needed to have irv2.com typed in.

Now keep in mind it always worked prior. Apparently a Windows update disabled the access to the forum input.

I though, if I had the issue, perhaps others had too. So, there is the issue and the fix.

Yet another excellent reason NOT to use Internet Explorer. I never have issues like viruses, settings changing, inaccessibility etc etc with Mozilla Firefox.

Explorer help indicates this will happen when websites are not design around Exp 8. So that is what compatibility view is used for. Not a good thing but if you want to use Explorer 8 it will happen a lot.
