Recently two features stopped working on my PC and some others in the iRV2 Chatters room. The little red X, exit button stopped working plus when we click on a chatter's name in the left text panel the profile does not pop up any longer? Is it some Windows XP update that killed us or what?

Any input will be appreciated.

I'm running XP and Internet Explorer 7, with auto update and have no problems. It sounds like you've got part of a browser hijacker running. They disable your exit button so you can't close a window. The Alt key and F4 key hit at the same time will close the active window. You need to do a scan right away.

are you using the ZONE ALARM firewall? there were some conflicts with the last windows update. if the problem is with zone alarm, it will be resolved when you update zone alarm.

Other members have found that clearing cookies and deleting the Temporary Internet Files have cleared up missing icon issues, might be worth a try before you start tinkering with your computer's settings.

If you're going through a router (i.e. a home network), you might need to update its firmware, especially if you've already tried the suggestions mentioned previously and are still having a problem. Check the router manufacturer's website for a newer firmware release, then, download and apply it to your router.
