Strange thing happened when I tried to sign on earlier.The site wouldnt let me log on,message said my ip address was barred from site.I had to think,what did I do or say now?
I rebooted and all is well.Was it my end ?

Not sure, let me know if it continues or happens again.
We haven't barred your IP address, at least not intentionally.

If you rebooted and it was fine wouldn't that indicate the problem on your end? Not sure if you were getting an ip address barred by your ISP or where in the stream.

Yes ,easy answer for the gurus. I waited awhile before I rebooted.Everything seems fine so far so good.

Are you on Dialup or Highspeed? Dialups alternate what IP address you get each time you connect, where land-line highspeeds tend to rotate a little less. It is entirely possible that you connected with an IP address that had been used by someone who had at one time gotten banned, more so if you use dialup, or DSL.

When I have to reboot I reboot everything I control in the "stream". The computer, the wireless router and the DSL modem. It doesn't help me troubleshoot which one is the problem but 98% of the time it clears it.

Actually, a few years ago we had some issues with a few people and had banned about 8 ip addresses. It looks like you must of hit on one.
I removed them from the list, so you should not have any further issues.
