New Post Function
Is there a formula which prescribes which posts show up when using the "new post" function on the main page?

I notice that not all new posts actually show up, and if you want to see all new posts you have to go to each forum area individually.

All new posts should show up until you view them or the thread they're in. After that they don't appear in the new post function.

I find that "Quick Links", then "Today's Posts" works perfectly.
