NOW I am mad!

I realize web sites have advertising but when they start playing videos of politicians while I am in the forum that is too damn much! I'm out of here.

You might try adblock Plus, it's free. I don't get those videos.

I'm here most every day and have never seen the type of ad you're talking about. I have however had ads pop up on another forum when I was NOT signed in. Were you signed in? Have you scanned your PC for malware lately? Do you have anti-virus installed? All things that could cause your issue.

Google/AdChoice ads, on this site or any other, are based on the browsing history of the user. I used to work for a division of eBay who had software to track browsing via IP addresses to direct targeted ads to people. All browsers track you unless you have software to block it.

Ok. I google searched Adblock and found the website. It took like 1 minute to download and it self installed. Easy. No more unwanted ads and it has sped up my web surfing. Thanks for the tip.

X2 Adblock Plus. I've had it a couple years and never have any ads or popups (unless I choose to)

Thank you all for posting about unwanted ads. This is the second evening in a row that my browsing has been interrupted by loud audio ads. I was about to abandon this valuable resource before finding this post. I will try the ad blocking software before giving up on IRV 2, but I would also expect the forum operators to take action.

Look in the mirror guys and you will find the problem. You need to have good software on YOUR computer, it's not the sight. When you say yes to so many sights that track your every move you are being targeted with adds. I run good anti what ever and it still amazes me that I will be looking for a product on a sight, move on and get the smaller adds or on the next search for an item at another sight and here comes the you might also be interested in the item from another search on the previous sight. The internet has ways of gathering information as you serf, that's a good reason to be careful of info you give and where.
