Tom,
Earlier today the old "Heartland" Region's threads were all mass moved into the newly created "North Central" Region.
I think what you're getting may be a result of your notifications being set for the "Great Lakes" region. The system perceives those moved threads as being new to the new "North Central" Region and consequently is notifying you that they are there.
If you turn off your notifications, they'll still probably come because they're already in the que.

Understand. I had the same thing happen when FL was moved to southeast.
