Photo captions

I can't figure out how to post several pictures and type a description under each. Say I am trying to post a six step "how to do it" with pictures and I'd like to upload a picture, type a few words, then upload a picture etc....

I subscribe to another Forum on a Jeep website where you can do this. Am I missing something?

The way I do it is attach the captions with Photoscape then post them

Photoscape is freeware

I prefer this method of uploading photos.

You can upload them all, then click on the little down arrow next to the paperclip and see all the attachments.

Type your caption, click on the little arrow, highlight the appropriate attachment, place you cursor where you want the photo and click.

Quote:
Click Post Reply or, if starting a new thread, click New Thread
Click on the paperclip symbol in the top row of the message box. A separate window will pop up.
Click Browse...then select the file to be uploaded. Be sure that the photo is appropriately sized. 620 x 620 pixels (or smaller) and no more than 100K. Forums software will automatically reduce the size, but smaller size photos will upload much faster. You may select several photos to upload at the same time by repeating the last step.
Click Upload. After pics have loaded, close the pop-up window.
Click Submit Reply (if you are replying) or Submit New Thread (if a new discussion) to post the text of your message - photos will automatically appear at the bottom of your post.

Thank you for the question - I didn't know how to do it either.

More bit more complicated, but this is how I do it:
1. Upload all photos to our Photos section
2. Start a new thread or Post Reply
3. Type a description
4. Type [img]
5. Go to the photo you want to insert
6. Right click on the photo & either:
  • Copy Image Location (Firefox)
  • Properties, then highlight & copy the URL address (IE)
7. Paste that URL after [img]
8. Type [/img] at the end of the URL

Type more description
Repeat steps 3-8 for as often as you want to insert a photo after text (put the img & /img parts before the text if you want to photo to precede description)

The end result will be like what I posted in THIS THREAD: description then photo.

There is great need for a sarcasm font.
