Try posting this link:

Are you trying to post a link or are you clicking on the yellow photo icon and posting thru that?

1) Click Post Reply or, if starting a new thread, click New Thread
2) Click on the paperclip symbol in the top row of the message box. A separate window will pop up.
3) Click Browse...then select the file from your computer to be uploaded. Be sure that the photo is appropriately sized. 1600 x 1600 pixels (or smaller) and no more than 2 MB. Forums software will automatically reduce the size, but smaller size photos will upload much faster. You may select several photos to upload at the same time by repeating the last step.
4) Click Upload. After pics have loaded, close the pop-up window.
5) Click Submit Reply (if you are replying) or Submit New Thread (if a new discussion) to post the text of your message - photos will automatically appear at the bottom of your post.

Yes, thank you. I have done that. I clicked on "manage attachments" though - brings up the same dialog box.
All pics end up on the bottom of the post.
I am asking about putting them along with the text.
from forums 101----"You can also paste in the location of a photo stored here in a photo gallery.
To do this: Paste the url of the image from our photo gallery into your post. Then add the following code on either side of the url (with no extra spaces):

The image will appear where the url was in your text."
---------
I have done that and there is space taken up where the is in the reply on my screen but there is no image once the reply is submitted and appears on the site. This was one of the earlier links - https://www.irv2.com/forums/f54/dine...ml#post6325150

You don't want to do the Manage Attachments function. That just puts photos at the end of your post, as you discovered.
Right click on your photo in our Photos section.
Select "Copy image address"
Type [img]
Paste your just copied address right after that command
Type [/img] rat the end of that URL address
It will show like this:
Then you type more stuff, repeat
Repeat text & the [img][/img] process over & over as much as many times as you want to insert photos inbetween text.
TA DA
Note: what goes between [img][/img] HAS to be a URL address & has to end in .jpg. Nothing else will work.
This is the URL to one of your pics:
https://www.irv2.com/photopost/data/...eats_sm_2_.jpg
What you kept inserting, which wasn't working, was this:
https://www.irv2.com/photopost/showp...hp?photo=38098
Notice the difference in what's contained in that URL. I don't know where you got that URL you used, but it isn't what works with the code.

Below this line is where I will place another using my copy from photos using the photo icon pathway.
And text below it.
edit: Nothing there. not even the space it took up this time.
I must have something in my system that is preventing it from holding/placing the link even though it shows the text in the reply box. Never have I seen this before.

Ahaa.
this is what I copy with "copy link address"
https://www.irv2.com/photopost/showp...hp?photo=38097
this is what I get with "copy image address"
https://www.irv2.com/photopost/data/...eats_sm_4_.jpg
this is using the image icon.
with text after.
Edit: I am confounded as I am sure I tried link and image in my trials. Stunning to me with my humble apologies for all the trouble. Thank you.
And the next question is; when managing attachments I see it says,
"Valid file extensions: bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg mp3 pdf png psd txt wav"
Do all have to be converted to jpg before they can be inserted?
And finally, I cannot seem to see a way to move a pic from the photos section to a album with other pics in it already. Does one simply delete (how?) the pic and then upload to the album? Drag and drop does not work.

To my knowledge, the extensions that've worked for me are jpg (jpeg) & gifs. I have not tried the others. You are welcome to test to see, if you want. Our software cannot handle music or videos for sure. Those you would have to upload to YouTube & insert.
The software also does not accept drag n drop. You will have to either move your photos to your albums or you can delete them from wherever you put them, then upload them to your album(s). Both options are under Photo Options when you open a particular photo.

Thanks much.
I will look to find "photo options".
I don't remember seeing that.

Yea.
I see nothing that says "photo options" on the page or on right click dropdowns.

I'll just delete and redo before the number of pics get out of hand. I do have experience with that

It's best if you insert a screenshot of what you are seeing. Trying to figure it out by just typing a list of what you are seeing doesn't let us know what you are viewing.
Now that you know how to insert photos in a post, that should be easy for you to do.

I thought I was doing that, sort of, with all text on the screen transferred easily by simply copy and paste.
Rather laborious to save to .doc and then save as .jpg to folder and then pick to upload when I am looking for (I assume) a right click > move to, like command.
So here are my steps to the only thing I see to possibly move photos but they don't have an explanation box and randomly clicking the top one seems to do nothing except change the selection when I go back to it.

That is what I see in my Photos and my one Album.
My question is how to move the two white hose pics in photos to the album.

Why are you saving photos to a .doc extension? That's not necessary. You should already have them on your device as a .jpg extension. That's usually the default extension for any photo....even if you are saving screenshots.
From what I can see from the screenshots you supplied, you don't have a move command. At this point, the quickest way to get the white hose photos to your album is to just put them there from your device. Then delete the general ones you put in the random gallery if you don't want duplicates out there.
Note: this is not our software. It's an archaic 3rd party program we've had to use & we do the best we can with what we've got. Someday, we'll have an upgraded photos software.
