Pop up ads on IRV2

The recent frequency of those irritating pop up video ads on the app has become almost too much. I keep popping them down, but another pops up wIthin a minute or so. At a certain point, invasive ads will limit the amount of time users spend on the site. Driving people away from a site isn’t usually the goal.

Anybody else irritated by these ads??

Ads are a major problem. On my iPad I can’t scroll to another page within a thread because it keeps jumping to an ad.

Here’s a hint to advertisers: if your ad is annoying, I will go out of my way to never, ever do business with your company. Olay Body can kiss my butt for their annoying ad as can tThe Camper Report Show. I will never click or buy. You are wasting money when you annoy people.

I agree the ads are irritating but they are probably what make this site free. The irration is worth the value of this site and all the knowledge I have gained. I don't pay much attention to them now so not an issue for me

I view the site on a laptop, and I have never seen a popup ad, ever.

I was going to say, viewing iRV2 through a internet browser works fine. This can be done on a phone or tablet without an app. I see ads to the side but they aren't intrusive.

I am getting aggravated as well. These pop up videos are insane. Every page change comes a pop up video. In the car it’s horrible with car play.

No they won’t. I’m having to type this blind because an add for Rocket is covering the text box, and clearly I’m signed in or couldn’t enter a message. Every time I try to scroll to the bottom the page jumps back up to an ad.

Logging in doesn’t change anything for me either. The pop up’s do serve a purpose for me. They gave be me a nice list of companies I will go out of my way to avoid. Seriously do these pop up videos ever result in a single sale?

I’m in the same spot. Started around a month or so ago. I log in, I select “remember me” and boom! Ads. It’s a newer behaviour.

I also have adblock+ and even if I'm not logged in the ads don't show up. there is a transparent area across the bottom of the screen when I'm not logged in where the ad would be and one on the right hand side but no ads.

Download the Opera internet browser, no ads. Works on other forums I use.

Opera was once a browser I used and suggested to others. When they were bought by Facebook, I stopped because everything FB does is about making YOU their product. I switched to Firefox and use AdBlock Plus, NoScript Security Suite, and Ghostery to kill off annoying adverts, tracking cookies, and to provide generic data to sites that request background system info.

I'd rather permit advertising that was useful and unobtrusive, but sometimes that's not possible.
