Great Forum.... but, what's with all the populp ads?
They don't work in the advertising world I'm sure. They're just annoying. Who on this earth would actually like it when they're reading something or typing text and these Pop-ups keep blocking everything.
Please... ban them.

Yes, they are very annoying and getting worse.
In fact one just covered up my response. So how to avoid them?

The pop up ads issues has been posted about numerous times. A search of the topic will return many resolutions.

Well... the issue with popup adverts is that nobody from iRV2 administration or moderation has the authority to make them go away. Social Knowledge LLC makes these determinations. That said, the advertising revenue generated here, annually, is under 6 figures (about $70,000, IIRC). Fractions of a penny per advert.

As Lori said, try a search and adopt whatever measures provide a less-intrusive experience.

Interesting, I never see pop up ads on the irv2 site. Maybe its the AdBlockPlus add-on to my Firefox browser.

Its a free add on. I just looked, and apparently its blocked 6 ads on this site. I guess I need to donate to them as I have been using this add-on for many years and really didn't know how well it worked.
