OK, You Tube says that you should go to settings on your phone and scroll to camera. In the camera list is "format". After clicking on that you are offered two settings, High Efficiency and Most compatible. Clicking on most compatible will store your photos in JPEG instead of HEIF or HEVC formats. I hadn't had a posting problem when I was just using the phone, but my 77 yr old eyes work better on my laptop. I think this solved my issue.
