Sorry, I've always had problems with the navigation in finding help.

What I want is to put images in a post, not a link to the photo gallery. I've done it before, but long enough ago that I can't find the directions for adding them.

It's not under tools. It's not under the photo album section. & I've been saying I would post them.

Ok, I tweaked and tweaked and tweaked, but I know the how to is around somewhere. I wish it were either under tools or with the Photo Album section. Those places would fit my logic.

Little Kopit,

The instructions are in the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions), about 2/3 down the list.

Ok, I looked at the menu in the middle along the top. I looked at the menu in a table at the top of the table of forum topics. Where else am I supposed to look? Where are FAQ? Remember the more places to look and the more division and subdivision there is, the harder something is to see. The less one uses something the easier it is to have someone else's logic elude you.

Did you click the link I provided?

Here's a copy and paste of the FAQ for your question:

quote:

Question: How do I add a picture to my post?

Answer:
 1.
Upload your RV picture to the photo album. (Note: wait until you receive confirmation that it was approved)

Locate the picture in the "RV Photo" album.

Right click on the thumbnail with your mouse.

Click on "Properties"

Highlight the URL that appears in the center of the frame

Right click on it

Click "copy"

Start your post and click on the "Display Image-UBBCode" icon on the message line (2nd icon from right).

Paste the URL for your Photo in the "Image URL" box and click OK

The photo will be placed in your post at the location of your cursor.

Thank you for the reply.

Ok, here's another technical thing I've seen from time to time. Sometimes when you create a link it is underlined. Sometimes it's not underlined. In the above post of yours on my screen (I'm in firefox), it's not underlined. I never thought to run my mouse over it.

But I'd still like the click sequence to get to FAQ. ???? I've tried everything in the menus at the center top, nothing shows FAQs. If you give it to me, I promise to create my own hard drive file this time.

The logic has eluded me often enough. I just thought this time, I'd make my query more public so all of you could see that at least one person is having a problem.

Little Kopit,

I just learned this morning that the site administration has decided to dump the links to the FAQ's, my apologies. They are still available by clicking "here", I'm not sure how long they'll be there. The ones I linked earlier were to the 'Forum' FAQ's.

The link underlines were also dumped, ostensibly because it's presumed to be nicer to read and has a less cluttered look. At the time they were dumped the administration wasn't sure if it would cause members problems. If you think it's a problem let us know. There's always the possibility these decisions can be reversed.

Thanks Hitchhiker.

Those links are now bookmarked. They should be kept until a new version is ready for posting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My opinions to Administration:

1) FAQs could be re-written, but they are important. You have to assume you have a few new members with extremely few computer skills.

2) Something is necessary to clue people in that they need to wave their mouse 'wand' over the post. The underline is traditional Internet format. Bring the underline BACK.

Thanks again Hitchhiker.
