Just for curiosity sake may I ask the administration why they would include a thread in the most current issue of the newsletter if it has already been disabled precluding any further replies?

We don’t know which one you’re referring to, however sometimes threads get closed for a variety of reasons and the Newsletter may not have caught up to it yet.

Also, the newsletter thread links are random. The random process doesn't know what threads are closed or not. In addition, the info in the threads in the newsletter may still be of interest, again whether closed or not.
