Remember me function
Hello Ad Min;
Recently upgraded my work computer which caused me to verify, authorize, etc. all my keychain accounts.
However, for what ever reason, the iRV2 won't remember me.
I've got iRV2 in my keychain and everything is correct to the best of my knowledge.
Do you know what is going on?
Thanks in advance for any insights
Tom

Using the 'Remember Me' function puts a Cookie on the computer so it recognizes you the next time. It's not unusual for work computers to have Cookies disabled. If you have access, you could go into the Settings of the web browser and change it.

Hello Bob;
Thanks, I did check that setting. It is set to allow cookies and data from sites I visit so that should be ok.
There is also another setting where I can view all the sites that have my account info. All of those are correct.
I will keep searching....

Try deleting the iRV2 cookies, they may be corrupted.
Also clear your cache.

So, I am now running El Capitan on my work computer. Good I got a new one after 8 yrs. the old one was terribly slow.
Old dog learning new stuff...lol
iRV2 still won't remember me after I cleared the cache and cookies and added iRV2 back in. What I get is a keychain prompt in the password that lets me select it from my keychain. It may be a new security thing that I have not found yet. Then click remember me. It will remember me but only for a short period. I often look in a various times of the day to take a break so it is pretty erratic.
Just thought I would share that in case others up grade or have a clue...
Thanks again.
Tom.

Tom,
Since you've cleared Cache and Cookies, it could be in one or two other places. Applications folder, Utilities folder, program called 'Keychain access' is one place a password might be saved incorrectly. Another is if you have enabled 'Autofill' nn Chrome, go to Settings, Advanced settings, manage passwords. If using Safari, Preferences, Passwords. Entering an incorrect password or changing to a new one could be the confusion.

What browser are you using? You might try loading a different one for iRV2 purposes.

Safari, same as what I've always used.
We use Google/ Google Chrome, Google Docs, etc. for work so I don't really want to use that.
I will keep searching.
Clicking on the keychain is not that big of a pain.
Not all change is good.....lol

So, as a follow up. All my key chain accounts are up to date and working properly except iRV2.
When I start up my work lap top, the Remember me function works fine. It is when I leave the site and come back(pick your time how long I am away) that it won't remember me.
Again, I can select from my key chain when I click in the password window and it is not a big deal.
Just curious as to what might be the cause.
Thanks.
Tom

follow up
Hello;
I was pretty much resigned to logging on each time, again no big deal but for whatever reason, the remember me function has been 'remembering me' through out the day yesterday and when I logged on this am. Knock on wood.
