Replacing carpet on Slide

I am trying to find posts from people with slide outs who have replaced their flooring with vinyl planks. Can anyone help me with the correct way to search multiple terms? I have tried quotation marks with two or more words, but continue to get the same 200+ unrelated threads and posts.

We took ours to a flooring facility that did motor homes and they told us they could not replace the carpet on the slides with flooring other than carpet. We ended up just replacing the carpet. We did not shop any further.


I suspect someone has done that, but not sure how.

I removed all the carpet in my Precept 31 UL. Installed HVLP. Turned out great. I even put real oak treads in the stairs.

Do you have slides? If so, how did you deal with the runner?

I have opposing slides in the kitchen/living area. They are totally supported above the floor so no issues with rollers.
