What is in evidence and it just doesn't pertain to what's going here but people are resistive toward disrupting familiarity in no matter what form it comes in.
I'm sure that folks are working diligently in the background to resolve a number of issues. You can only do so much trial and error "Off Line" so getting the new environment rolled out live even if it's a little rough around the edges will soon coalesce and things will be put in good order.
A bit of history on this; members voiced the exact same concerns back in the early 2000s when Bill rolled out the new InfoPop software.
It'll be better soon.

Opened the forum in Firefox this morning. Background sure is bright but not much different than other forums I visit. No change in font size. No advertising. I'm sure the techs will keep on tweaking to make minor improvements. In a couple of days, nobody will remember or even care what the format used to be.

We'll get it back. Many changes have been made already and we are addressing each issue as we find them or we are notified of them.

There isn't any additional advertising. Are you sure you were logged in?
What is new is this page
The intent is that it will be a current events and articles page with member contributed content. Trip reports, product reviews, RV news and other items that would interest the community. Extra thanks to DriVer for getting it kicked off

I'm replying to this without first going to page 4 and 5. FF Preferences does not give an option for background brightness. I have to go into the MAC preferences to adjust that, which I did while reading the forum. I adjusted the display brightness to the absolute minimum and that reduce the bright white light while I was browsing. However, when quitting IRV2 and going to another program I have to go back into System Preferences and re-adjust the brightness level back to an acceptable level for the other applications.
Not rally an acceptable solution.
Fonts: I have not problem adjusting fonts or using the Command+ function.

I am neither for nor against change, and I am not apathetic either.

Yes, the forum changed this morning, Much harder to read on my netbook, Yet another reason to consider deleting the bookmark.
Powers that be, Please fix that, The old software I could hit CTRL-+ and it fixed, the style sheet you are using now eon't let me do that It will not reformat for the "Zoomed" page.

I think you folks are being extremely responsive already. Keep up the good work!
I really like the faster loading of the pages...really is MUCHO faster.

Overall I like it, I do agree with one thing that has been mentioned and that is the quote appearance. A different color background does help identify the quote as a quote and makes it stand out better, the line is just not enough IMO.
