Something wrong with sending PMs

Trying to contact UTTransplant about a TT for sale, but no matter what I try I get a message either that I didn’t “enter a message” or that I “Didn’t fill out all required fields”. Please help, as I’m very interested in the trailer.

I will PM UTTransplant to seek a reply to you.

Diagnosing a possible PM problem for your log-in would be complex and there are no known outages.

Please stand by
Steve as iRV2 Staff

In the interim, feel free to try to contact UTTransplant through PM within the Forums at his Profile page...use the "send message" icon (top left)

Make sure you fill in the subject box. That had me going in circles once

Funny, when I use the link Scarab0088 sent to UTTransplant’s profile, it looks totally different than when I click on his profile. When I do it, there is no place to type a PM. Also, there is no place to put in a Subject as s Dennis lee suggests.

I just tried again the normal way, same bed results. I also used Scarab0088’s link, and it sent a PM just fine, I think. Confidence is low. I have been on forums for years and sent hundreds of PMs, so I don’t think it’s me...
Thanks all for your help, hopefully UTTransplant gets my info and we can talk about his/her trailer for sale.

Earl84,

You successfully posted two profile comments to UTTransplant's profile and my PM's were not returned...but also not answered.

UTTransplant did visit iRV2 Monday evening, so the ball is in his court.

That's your issue. You are not sending a PM to the member, you are entering a comment on the member's profile page. Most members don't check their profile page often, so they may not see it or notice they have an unread comment.

You also can't enter a subject title on a profile comment, which is what you've discovered. You can with a PM.

To send a PM, you need follow the instructions Steve gave you.

The other way to get the attention of a seller is to enter a comment on their ad page. That will send a notification to the member that someone is inquiring.

There is great need for a sarcasm font.

Thanks Lori

Besides the PM to UT, I also posted a comment on the for sale ad for Earl...so Earl should get that notification.
See the bottom of the for sale ad page HERE
