Stop asking for my location

Every time I open IRV2.com, a pop up asks me to allow access to my location. Iím already logged in so nothing should change. If the question is part of the advertising that supports IRV2, fine, but itís not necessary to ask unless I have logged out.

Do you have a large red box at the top of the home page? If so, click the “X” in the upper right. That may stop it.

The popup asking for your location is part of the new Speed Test link in the red bar at the top. If you are in a RV park and run a speed test, it adds the information automatically to the listing in Campground Reviews. As said, all you have to do is close the red bar and it will go away.

Here is a post from Janet about the new feature.

This happened to me yesterday for the first time. Except that I was not at a campground (Across the road from one), and I was on a different WiFi than the campground. (Hotel). It even brought up the campgrounds name and asked to do a speed test for them using the WiFi.

Put a check mark in the block that says (something like) remember this choice or do this all the time, and then click Block.

When the prompt comes up you can click "block"

If you are seeing this at every login, it's likely that you are purging all cookies at the end of your session and so the prompt returns. You can adjust your security settings to allow cookies from the site. This will also improve you're browsing experience by showing you new content since your last visit.

That block just, plain annoying, intrusive and if using Firefox, it appears every time I log in to that browser. Yes, Firefox clears cookies every shutdown and will remain so since that's part of my my computers protection. What's even worse is that I am a member of 3 RV forums owned by this company. ( I have my own thoughts as to at least one other reason it pops up too)
