Thread deletion ?

I posted to a thread the other day but now cannot find any sign of it or the post I made to it. I do realize that threads get deleted from time to time so this is not what I'm asking about.

My confusion this time came about because I did not remember which thread category I had posted in. I searched the forums attempting to find the thread and after not having any luck, went straight to the nitty gritty and clicked on my avatar to get a list of all my posts. That one post was indeed gone.

My question, because I'm easily confused at times ,, Is there a way to get a notification when one of my posts is deleted? If possible, it would be nice to get a brief explanation of why everything went bye bye as well.

What Skip said.

I had the same experience with a disappearing thread in which I had posted. I posted a question on the forum simply asking if the thread had been deleted and a mod posted a reply, much like you have just done.
