Yes Support Admin, thank you for the information and update.

It is a shame that someone would say goodbye to this forum just because of something beyond the control of the technical support people.

From me to those that are unhappy and cannot live with this temporary interruption.
I say GOOD BYE - won't miss you. I'd miss the forum so much more.

I hope the person or persons responsible for this can be punished in some way!

Thanks for the explanation and all the efforts to resolve the problem. It is truly sad that someone would do that.

Remember a DDos attack is a third party. Think 50 people taking turns dialing your phone. There is relatively little the receiver can do directly. The network level folks can try to block the sources but if it is a well distributed attack setup that has it's own problems. Let's hope they are done for now.

I'm posting from my iPhone and iPad without any issues. Have you powered your devices off and on since yesterday ?

SO:

If this was a deliberate attack by some malicious malcontent ex-member or whoever, cannot we, as a group, investigate and press charges against that person? There would be NO shortage of members who would be willing to help, I am sure.

There may be some residual issues still being worked out. But if you're having trouble staying logged in, be sure you have the Remember Me box checked & that your internet security is set to Med-High.

I do not expect 100% perfection from any free website, but irv2.com comes pretty close to it continually. Thank you Administrators! When I received the delay message I knew you guys were already deep in solving the problem.

Whew...and I thought it was just me. I had all sorts of problems yesterday but everything seems to be working today. I hope I just didn't jinx things.

Kudos to the tech peeps that keep iRV2 running!

In addition to clearing cookies, cache, history etc, I found it necessary to delete and re-install the bookmark that I had placed on my Kindle, for irv2, in order to cure the problem of being constantly logged out. Everything seems to be working normal on the site after doing the above.
