Virus Warning!

All three times I've tried to visit IRV2.com from my Android phone (running Android 6.0, updated with recent security patches) this evening, I've browsed into the first forum thread of the visit and been redirected to a fake "Your phone is infected. Run this program to clean it." website, complete with what is undoubtedly an evil download that tries to automatically start.

Thankfully, my security settings won't accept a download attempt without approval, but the back button has been disabled and I've had to close Chrome each time to get out of the session.

This is the only website that's happened with on my phone. Not sure what the source or cause is, and it doesn't happen from my Apple desktop Chrome browser.

Be careful out there, RVers!

Edit: Mods, feel free to delete or move this as you see fit. Just wanted to drop it where you and the most users would see it. Feel free to message or email me if you need more information.

I have reported this member concern to the collective staff.

If anyone else has a virus warning pop-up on the App, please notify us.

Thanks

Scarab, this wasn't from the app. It was from the Chrome browser on the Android 6.0 OS.

I had it a few days ago on LG V10. Looked fishy so I downloaded Norton and the scan came back clean. Had to close chrome lost a couple of camping spots I hadn't saved yet.

I received a similar message yesterday - using the Microsoft Edge browser running Windows 10. It popped up when attempting to include a "poll" with a new thread.

Perhaps it's a bad ad.

I don't see it.

Is anyone still seeing this?

More likely a browser hijacker on their computer. That said they got it somewhere. Probably not here or we would see more complaints.
