Was there a change made to ad settings?

Suddenly, I now receive a banner ad at the bottom of the screen - never had that before. In addition, there are far more ads between posts than there had been, to the point of irritation. As in, not fun to browse anymore.

Did something change on the forum side? I have made no changes to my pop up or ad software on the client side.

Ads inbetween threads only display if you are not logged in. The ad at the bottom was placed there over a year ago. Supporters don't see that ad.

I've not seen any change, no ads either. Please post up a screenshot (including showing your user name as logged in) & provide device type/browser info.

Was on Irv2 earlier today and everything was fine. Saw the usual one ad in between posts, I think 4 and 5. Also the ones to the right.

Just got on tonight and there are big ads between the posts. I counted four on one thread. There's also now an ad banner at the bottom. The usual ads are on the sides. I'm not yet a paying member but I am signed in. Something has definitely changed.

Below is a link to my screenshot.

IRV2 Ads

Is it just me, but the last couple of days the ads on here have exploded.

There is an ad between every 2nd post. This ridiculous, looks like I'm not logged in but I am.

Using Chrome if that matters.

Over the top in my opinion!

I use ad blockers and have never seen an add on any page on IRV2; logged in or not.

Mudfrog has described it exactly perfect.

Irritating.

The ads also pop up or resize as the page continues to load, which moves the placement of the posts in thread. Something changed.

Lori-
I am obviously logged in, I have made this post after all.....

Something changed.

In this thread, right now, ads between posts and banner at the bottom for companies including but not limited to:

Jiffy Lube, Chewy, Progressive, AllState, TrueCar, Sprouts, RTIC. They are obviously doubleclick generated.

I'd recommend having someone that can validate what changes have been made look in to it, rather than replying "Community Supporters don't see ads".

If it is a change to policy to increase ads for non supporters, that's fine, but I'd like to know.

I use both Adblocker and Ghost which pretty much take care of all ads on any website but a disadvantage is that it my restrict my ability to do certain things.

I tried to edit my profile information on a website and it would not let me do it.

So I use one of my other browsers to do this. Not too much of an inconvenience considering the benefits.
