Why are members prohibited from posting "For Sale" on personal RV items on this site?

Actually we have a section dedicated just for sale items. This way those that want to sell and those that are looking for a praticular item can find each other more easily. To post an item for sell go to the classified section. As my mother taught me, a place for everything, and everthing in its place. We also have a photo gallery where you can post pictures. Good luck and enjoy the website.

Hello LIKENIT,
It's felt that having numerous for sale ads for various items of RV stuff interspersed throughout the forums would create a cluttered look and result in diminishing the overall objective of this forum. That overall objective, as indicated by our Mission Statement, is to efficiently support the thoughtful exchange of knowledge, values and experiences among RV enthusiasts. The key word as it relates to this question is 'efficiently'.
As Mike (RV Wizard) has indicated, iRV2 has gone to an additional expense to provide an area for classified ads so we can efficiently accomplish our objective of keeping them out of the forums.
Additionally, we have a 'no flaming' policy at iRV2 which precludes a member from being verbally attacked for what he or she posts. For that reason, I am removing one of the responses to your question to insure that we continue our alignment with that policy.
