Why this new Cloudflare thing? Why so many trackers?

I recently started getting errors when trying to use IRV2 using HTTPS from something called CloudFlare. Is this related to the large # of trackers you are trying to load when people use IRV2 ? My client software says it is blocking 35 trackers from trying to profile me when I connnect to web pages on the irv2 hosting domain. That number varies but last time I checked tonight the count was 35.

My client software blocking all the trackers does not seem to bothering the hosting system from serving me many adds which I totally understand and accept as there has to be income coming in to support the IRV2 service.

Any background on these things would be educational for me. Thanks.

Cloudflare is company that prevents DDOS attacks, provides "network security" blah blah but mostly I get outrage messages from them. IRV2 has been running really slow last couple days and between location requests and all the trackers....

Several moderators have posted today explaining that we are seeing it temporarily and they are working on the site to fix some speed issues. They are going to shut the site down tonight while they update some things.
