The price is based on how "Nasty" of an act you were caught on camera doing...LOL...975 is one thing but 7K must have been some kinda bad!

Be real careful and not blow the porn scam off. I have been receiving the same e-mail for about 3 months and did as all of you have said and just ignored it. It started off wanting the $7000 from bitcoin then 3600 then 2500 and the last one was $760.

I received this on my work computer (self employed) and 2 weeks ago our webmaster called and said I was sending out massive amounts of e-mails as spam. Long story short had to kill my 27 year old e-mail address because of a Trojan that this person loaded on my computer. All of this was with good ole Norton updated and in place.

This person sent me an e-mail 2 days after the crash and said " how do you like what I did to your e-mail it would have been cheaper for you to pay me the $760

I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to computers but this is what happened to me.

2 Scam warnings

I know that you’re joking about paying them. But if you indeed paid them the extortion payments would never stop.

I setup my email so I can see the contents without opening and delete spam. You can setup a preview pane to view and read contents without opening and triggering the Trojan executable to keep harmful Trojans off your computer.
The real key here is that if they indeed had any photo proof they would attach them as proof. Instead they attempt to share old password that you may have use long ago as a way to scare you into thinking they have the goods on you.
Your next step after seeing such video proof which is never included would be to find another state to live in or the extortion would never stop.

BTW, Finding password hacker keys is an easy thing to do. The internet is full of these tools and the dark web is full of hackers sharing info with one another.

Just the world we live in now.... you’re never as safe as you think you are. As I said in my original post. Always cover your camera when not in use, unplug the Network cable from smart TVs until ready to use it and spend the money to use a VPN service which adds a layer of privacy and security.

Very true but don’t become complacent. While rare you never know when it will happen.

Too bad you have no way to reply back to him. I'd tell him that I was an aspiring porn star and would welcome any extra publicity that he could offer.
