2011 Buick Enclave

My question is not related to the motorhome tonight.

I have a 2011 Buick Enclave with 97,250 actual miles and have always kept it will maintained. Last week I got in to run errands and started down the street and realized that I didn't have audio on the radio even though I could see that it was turned on, then when turning I could not hear the turn signal blinking. The longer I was in the car the more I noticed that things that should be audible were silent, even when I turned off the car and opened the door without removing the key there was no dinging. The horn works, the electric seats work, the seat heaters work as do the lights and all. I can see on the dash display that the words Bluetooth displays but it doesn't connect to my phone either. This has been going on for several days and I have tried to read through the Owners Manual but cant put my finger on anything there.

Does anyone have ideas as to what may be the trouble? I would really like to have a heads up before taking it into the dealership. Being a woman of senior years I do not want to be given a song and dance, then charged a big price and then the problem is not completely fixed. It has happened way too many times in the past.

I can be reached at: rscookies2@gmail.com Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this long post.

The 1st thing to check is the fuse panel. If you're unable to try it yourself, do you have a friendly neighbor or family member that could check that for you?
A replacement fuse will cost all of $4 for a 5-pack. There might even be a spare fuse stored in the fuse panel.

I agree to have someone check out the fuses to see if one's popped off.

Second thing would be to take it to Autozone or Advance Auto Parts and get them to read the OBD II port looking for a trouble (fault) code.

Don't forget a Buick dealer's service writer is not a ladies's best friend--but a highly paid commission salesman without a conscience. Do yourself a favor and find a good independent auto repair.

Disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes or so then reconnecting will reset everything and could resolve your issue.

Thank you. I will have my brother or a friend check out those fuse panels. By reading the manual is understand their are three areas that have fused. I truly appreciate your answering. Sincerely, Sherry
