Darn groundhog.... somebody shoot that rodent!
FYI, it's BRIGHT and SUNNY today in central Indiana but cold as a bare azz sitting on an Alaskan iceberg.

Good to know, Corpus Christi was in the mid-40's yesterday. Cloudy this morning, light rain, chilly.

I'm thinking "Phil" is right. We got over a foot of snow yesterday and the temperature is supposedly going down into the teens below zero tomorrow night. It is what it is and will be what the weather wants to be. Global warming left my area out this time of year.
I'm good on propane for heat in my house, fuel oil in the tank for garage heat and a full tank of diesel for my tractor and snowblower. Our shelves are stocked and the refrigerator is full including a couple rows of Barley Pops.
This summer we will be looking for a place to get out of the hot sun and heat.
If it warms up a bit we will have some of our snowmobiles out and go for some rides this weekend. Making the best out of what we have to deal with.

Yup. 6 more weeks of winter instead of only a month and a half.

We don't have groundhogs so we use rattlesnakes to prognosticate
Arizona's answer to Pennsylvania's weather-predicting groundhog slithered out of its hole, saw its shadow and thereby pronounced the end of winter for the Grand Canyon State.
Agua Fria Freddie, Arizona's prognosticating rattlesnake, works just the opposite of his Pennsylvania counterpart, Punxsutawney Phil.
If the groundhog sees his shadow, it means six more weeks of winter. If the rattlesnake sees his shadow, it means spring is just around the corner.
Punxsutawney Phil forecast six more weeks of winter for Groundhog Day appearance Monday. Freddie predicted that spring is nigh.

Buckeye Chuck didn't even come out of his burrow today. What's that predict?
Next week's temperature forecasts are for 50's for several days. That sure isn't winter in OH!

I predict that Spring will come late in the afternoon on March 20th this year. That's in 6 weeks and 3 days...

Does that mean we should delay Groundhog Day for three days?
