Death Wobble or Darling Wife. Sort of similar when I think about it.

That designation assumes the woman is a wife. I see no designation for a girlfriend.

In ham radio lingo, a girl friend is a YL, and a wife is an XYL. Goes back to the days of landline telegraphers.

In this age of political correctness one needs to be adaptive and creative to avoid the onslaught of progressive condemnation!
Therefore, to be "gender appropriate" and "socially conscious" it might be a good idea to attach to "DW" the description "Designated Woman".

Thanks for responses.
I was certainly overthinking.

Old school and certainly not politically correct, I thought DW was "dish washer".

I thought DW was for "Dear Wife". In our house her real name is "She Who Must Be Obeyed".

Since the word "wife" derives from a Germanic word, Just to be safe I'm sticking with "Der Weib"!
