Always 3 things need fixing or improving

I was told this before we got our first motorhome last April. I didn't believe it since our 2004 class A, everything worked great and nothing needed fixing or improving. Since that first day, I can't seem to get the list below three. Haha. Like right now I have these three:

1. Replace rubber gas tank fill tube. (Small leak only when filling)

2. Figure out why suddenly the grey tank monitor says half full just after I emptied it.

3. Replace slide out topper as old one has many cracks and some small holes.

Ok, so you too must have your lists. Does anyone not have three things on it ? :-)

Dave

You are so very lucky! If I only had 3 items on my list, I would call that bragging! Of course, I am picky and like everything perfect. Somebody once told me "good luck with that". . . . . I probably have at least 10 small items on my list at all times. Hmmmmm, time to go count.

Only 2 right now:**
1. Replace or repair toilet
2. Reseal front and rear caps.

** Because I just fixed 2 other items.

I have owned RV's for over 40 years, the list of 3 will NEVER end. It is part of any recreational vehicle ownership being it a boat or a motor home.

I am back with a list. . .

List of items needing repair:
50-amp power cord was ripped out of the side of the coach.
Xantrax cables chewed by mice X2.
Day/nite shades to be restrung X2.
A/C compartment door latches stripped.
Propane detector.
Dash radio clip broken.

List of items wanted:
Front 32" TV was removed, needs to be replaced.
Progressive Industries EMS-PT50C (after power cord is repaired).
Rear tire extension valves.
2 slide toppers need to be replaced soon.

You brought it up, so I am very interested in following this post to see if my list is "average" or not! I guess if I had to list the most important items, there are only 3-4, so maybe you are onto something after all.

I read somewhere, probably on this forum, something to the effect of..."RVs have 400,000 parts on them, and at any given time 95% of them work." Pretty true!!

Ya'all have different Mhs, so it must just be a thing with them. I am looking at used and can often see 3 to 5 things that I see just when looking and that is not with moving the thing yet. I expect the list will rise once purchasing.

I bet ya'all think it is worth it though to just be able to go out and camp such as it is in a MH.

You got that right! That is why we have a list in the 1st place. We are either on a trip, or planning a trip. Sometimes on a trip planning the next trip, too.

We keep a small note pad up front due to CRS (can't remember $#!T) so I can keep my list of 3 (or more) perpetually filled. I don't do drugs, play golf or belong to a book club, so maintaining and modifying the coach is my main hobby. I hope I never get my list down to less than 3... I hate golf .

With our coach, there's always a minimum of 6 things that need fixing or improving.

Dishwasher machine soap 'with grease cutting action' , put a couple of oz. down the drain after dumping grey tank. After a while the sensors will get clean.(miles of sloshing around)
2) WHAT JUST 3????, lucky dog!
