My doctor says I can have a glass of wine a day. So far I'm up to....
...sometime next year.

We'll bring some of the wine we bought a couple months ago. It's Ruscotto that Olive Garden was pushing, they wanted $25 a bottle. We found it in Portland for $12 a bottle. Bought two cases. Haven't drunk any ourselves but gave away four bottles so far.

Me too and homebrewer. Interesting to see that the Czech Republic drinks the most beer per capita. I was always under the impression Belgium had that title.
BTW my doctor told me one or two glasses of beer a day is good for me. So I figure 20 is 10 times as good

It's still 2 Buck Chuck in California. We load up everytime we go to the coast. No Trader Joes where we live. Will be in March.

Not sure where Canada is on the statistics, but we do our part up here as well. I love BC because we can go into a store & get wine made for us in 28 days (32 bottles) for just around $3.25 a bottle. BC is the only western province where you can do this. Yay BC

I'm with Possum on enjoying our NY wines, both Western NY and Finger Lakes. If you like the sweet variety, ice wines are a nice dessert wine.

All the wines we've tried from the Niagara Escarpment area have been good to great. Besides we love visiting good frinds who live in the area of Silver Creek, Hamburg, Fredonia etc.
Too easy to buy more than we can bring back over the border.

We do up ours on upper third in Port Alberni. Valley Wines and Water is a great place for you-brewing wine or beer.

We are in first place only because we have a large population--this is total consumption not per capita. The French are way ahead of us in the latter category.

I will join you in the minority. I am one of those alcholics that has not attended a meeting, but have been sober for 10 years.

My ex is doing her part! When I said this drinking is getting out of control, she threw me out in favor of the Gallo Brothers.

I used to be partial to Johannesburg Riesling from Chalet Debonne' in Madison Ohio ; then I discovered the virtues of Molson Ice on a hot day. ..And I haven't gone back....
The DW does the wine thing though; I mean somebody has to keep all those grapes from going to waste.
