Attacking bug problem with common sense
Hi, so i have my inside bug issue fixed. But now i need to work on the outside bug issue.
The biggest issue i have is spiders, they are all over the place on the RV outside. I have been thinking about this and here is what i came up with so far.
They are there because the food is good and plentyfull. I have been leaving my outside light and the led strip light (under the awening) on at night because it makes me feel better. Tonight was the worst ever, i walked outside just after dark and there were so many flying bugs of all kinds it freaked me out, the air was thick with them like they just hatched or something. Alot of the underside of the awening was black with bugs.
So if i turn the lights outside off, the flying bugs should go to a different light source and go away. Then with that the spiders should also go away and follow the food source.
Does that sound right? Or are they going to be there light or no light?
What im afraid of is that they will see the light inside the trailer and try to get inside and i dont want that for sure.
Or should i just spray everything outside RV, awening and everything with bug spray?

Keep the lights off and use something like Cutter Yard Guard.

Have you tried a bug zapper? Place it as far as you can from your camper and draw them away.

If you are having a spider problem just sprinkle seven dust on the webs and they will be gone soon. If you are having a fly problem, hang a clear zip-lock bag half full of water near your doors. Flying insects at night, get a yellow light bulb for the light. Good luck, these things do work..

The only bugs I hane worried about were the ones attracted to LP gas. I learned on this forum many years ago to put dog flea collar parts into those areas. Never had a problem after doing that in 2006.
Inside, Torro and a fly swatter work well.

See BugSpray.com for essays on getting rid of over 150 bugs, pests and critters. They also have a retail store in Stone Mountain where I buy pesticides and chemicals not available locally.

I saw a post on 9-1 where he was asking how to delete his account. I too enjoyed his questions and all the answers that popped out from folks. His last activity was that date also.
