No dis-respect intended.
BUT if you have home owners insurance, might want to verify your coverage B-4 you start the work.


Work you do needs to meet local electrical codes.
Should also have a building permit etc etc.....
IMO if you need help trying to connect up a indicator lamp.
You would be better off getting a licensed electrician involved.
Not knowing where and how to connect it makes me feel the end result would not meet code or be safe.

back when I built my house 30 years ago I had a electric pedestal installed that included a 120 volt outlet assy box installed underneath it. It consists a 120 volt GFI duplex and a 15 amp breaker. It is wired on the output side of the meter. So when the power is out I hook up a drop light to it duplex. When the light comes on I know the power has been restored.
