Bitcoin - anyone buying?

There has been a lot of talk about bitcoin in the news lately - new ETFs, mostly in other countries. And companies are adding it to their balance sheets.

I've been buying a little Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash and Etherium. As of today; I'm flat. I may put about 1% of my investment money into it. I'm 1/3 of the way there and holding as it took a hit today.

If people here are buying I would say it is becoming a real investment.

I have been investing in crypto for the last 4 years. I sold most of it on the last rally in 2017 and made good money but unfortunately did not re-up my position as heavily before the current rally. I sold most my holdings again after BTC crossed $60k. I would not recommend buying now. Wait till the next major correction, then buy buy buy!

4 years you must be knowledgeable. Do you have a number for the bottom of that major correction?

I have 1/4 of a bitcoin.

I"m using Robinhood and it is working well.

I would be looking for the next bear market. It will be a long (2-3 year) play but I will start buying again below $40k. I want to see a 30-50% correction from all time high of $65k. I also would say to look into other coins. Its a total wild west out there. It's anyone's guess but that is my opinion. Good luck and have fun!

You're right it is a nuts market with extreme leverage; which I think some got washed out. If the stock market get hit it could get to your level fast.

Good luck.

What I noticed with Bitcoin is that you buy overnight and sell during the day.

I guess I’m getting old. I watch the market and can’t get comfortable with the wild swings in Bitcoin. Just not comfortable so I watch. If it works for you great. Safe travels

Enjoy the journey

I have some Ethereum that I bought less than a year ago....around $240. It's down a bit right now, but topped out a few days ago at over $2500. I'm just hanging on to it as of right now, as I believe it will go much higher over some time.

I understand that they are reducing the supply of that coin and the transaction system is a good one.

Nothing like 10x on your investment! Crypto is wild as heck but wow the gains you can realize is insane. I have many friends who have cashed some pretty insane profits but you definitely need a strong stomach and DO NOT invest more than you can afford to lose.

Bitcoin - anyone buying?

You bet! Soon as I have a stroke. It's not investing - it's gambling.

Can't win if you don't play
