Well, I picked Iowa to beat the lizards and I've picked USC to beat Pedo State, so we'll see how that goes. I think I picked Bama in the Champ game, but I hope Clempson wins it all.

Go ACC, Go Noles!!

Wow that was a good Rose Bowl, USC winning 52-49. Reminds me of the USC/Husker Holiday Bowl I attended two years ago. USC won 45-42, and Nebraska had a TD declined that should have stood. All I kept hearing (sitting with some Trojan fans) during that game was Adoree Jackson this and Juju Smith that, just like today's game.

USC qb Darnold looks NFL-ready, hopefully the AZ Cardinals can draft him in a couple years!

Remember the disaster with Matt Leinert? He looked good too. What happened to all of the hype that the BIG 10 was such a strong conference? They did not fare well in the end.
I have been humbled by my poor choices in the past and this contest surely reflects that. Thank you for the opportunity to spend the next year as the resident basement dweller.

Ya, Leinert was a poor match with coach Ken Whisenhunt. Leinert was a Cali party boy and Whisenhunt was a east coast lunch pail guy, and that was never going to work.

But the Cardinals are severely over-due for a successful qb draft pick, and I just thought Darnold looks really good, can make all the throws, calm demeanor, NFL body.

The B1G had a poor bowl showing, but still had the most impressive total season.

I rule!!

Next year will probably be a different story....keep that basement in shape!

What a game. ACC rules and the $EC has been dethroned! They aren't even the second best conference.

Congrats to Gary for finishing in first place. Funny how Gary and I were last year's cellar dwellers and we finish first and second this year. Oh well, none of us won ESPN's million dollar prize, so I guess there is not a Newell coach in our immediate futures. Thanks to Sam for setting this up again.

Yes, the ACC finished the season strong. My condolences to mbridinger for his Crimson Tide heartbreaking loss. I've been there, when your team has a great season, makes the championship game, and they just can't seal the deal for the big prize. But don't worry, I'm sure the Tide will just reload and make another run.
