More to the fact.. There have been several studies showing the danger of high levels of radiation.. And several "Scares" about cell phone radiation.

There have also been several studies, properly conducted studies, that showed that the much preached dangers are greatly exaggerated. Very highly exaggerated in fact (Basically there is no danger)

There is, however, a change in the brain of folks who seem to have a cell glued to their ear. It is not caused by radiation though. it's caused by having a phone glued to your ear.

Also, a 2nd factor... Radiation is a time affected thing

A short burst of high level radiation is not as bad as a longer exposure to a lower level. but that said, your body "Processes" the radiation out as well (The effects decay) and the key is to keep the exposure below the decay rate.

Kind of like Booze... If you have one drink a day you will never get drunk

You can, in fact, have say 4 drinks (At six hour intervals) and never be drunk

But you have those same 4 drinks in one hour and you are PLASTERED (Assumes a 150 pound person).
Hey, that's their measurement, I simply cut and pasted it:

Sub-model "(Type RH-55)"

SAR when held at the ear1.28 W/kg

SAR when worn on the body1.00 W/kg

the 4 cell phones are called at one time and while they are ringing the corn starts popping.
This was not a hoax. I just reheated my lasagna for lunch with my cell phone. Planning on doing a roast later with my TV set.

Interesting Redneck.. I got blank pages on both those links

Georgetown.. The popcorn was on a towle which was on top of a hot plate, it was a hoax for sure, cell phones emit a very short burst of radiation when they start to ring, and then they basically make noise till you answer so they were not even emitting when the corn popped.

Of course.. I'm sure you know that.

Frankly though, things like that video tick me off cause there are too many folks getting upset over fake scares like that and not enough who are ready to deal with real deadly stuff like tobacco smoke or alcohol or texting while driving or Global Thermonuclear war or.. Well you get the idea. (All about equally dangerous I might add)

Special effects have come a long way so it makes it hard to believe anything these days. If not for lack of special effects in the 60s I might not have believed man landed on the moon.

Kinda like the signs at gas stations directing patrons to turn off their cell phone to prevent fires. That was proven to be a hoax too.
