Towed a trailer of some sort and size for over 20 years. I grew tired of my daily driver being dictated by the size of my camper.
This last upgrade, we looked into fifth wheels and loved the roomy layouts, but, again, that would dictate the choice of daily drivers. And I didn't relish the idea of parking a one ton anywhere, my driveway, touristy locations, work, etc.
For us (and it's different for everybody), a class A offered a greater range of flexibility when it came to our personal comfort and overall enjoyment.
If it's pouring down rain when we get to our overnight spot, we don't have to get wet.
If I wake up hours before she does (which I typically do), I don't have to bother her when I'm ready to hit the road.
My only concern, when we were looking into buying a class A, was the toad, and it has been a non-issue; completely.
