Yep, I survived and everything was clear. It will be a hot day in Antarctica before I consent to this again. Yesterday was pure misery. I've slept almost continuously since I got home about 12:30. Two days ruined.

Over the years I've had a sigmoidoscopy and 2 colonoscopies - I prefer the colonoscopy; it's a lot less painful! And, other than the prep, and having to go without eating for too long, it was no big deal. My last one was about 6 weeks ago: appointment was for 2:00 pm and I had to quit eating at 6:00pm the previous day, and use the prep juice. By the time of my appointment I was past the point of being hungry, and once they pumped the sedative into my arm I felt no discomfort. Woke up after they were done, and my wife and I headed straight to a nearby fat food place so I could start loading up my gut again. No pain, no discomfort, no loss of sleep - just another day in my life. No issues found at any time, either!
