Didn't I hear that kids now are graduating high school with a second grade education??

Just kidding but it is pretty sad. Kids going into college are unable to count out change. Heaven help us if we get hit with a massive EM blast, they would have no idea what to do without a computer to tell them.

Lordy, I sound like my Grandmother now! Do you think every generation feels this way about the generations coming down the pike?

My grandmother did walk five miles to school, through the snow.............

I really grate My teeth when I see "Breaks " instead of "Brakes" ! There are so many instances where the Spell Check feature available FREE should be used before pushing the "Post" Button!

Got her beat.... I tell my Grandchildren that I walked 5 miles to and from school. And, it was uphill both ways....

Out on the highway we saw a big sign over a used car lot. It said "Your approved." Now lets not be snobby but come on, that is just wrong. The word "your" and the "you're" are different words. "Your" is an adjective that describes something relating to you. "You're" is a contraction of "you" and "are." It is not that complicated. I think that a sign printer should at least have a grammar checker on a laptop or a basic working knowledge of our language.

(I paid good money for that English degree!)

My two pet peeves:

The past tense of "dive" is "dived." "Dove" is a little white bird.

The past tense of "sneak" is "sneaked."

A common error I see is using 'advise' where it should be 'advice'.

My favorites are "Your" and "You're" along with "Our" and "Are"

If you think it is bad now, wait a few years when the current group of school age kids start working in the real world.
Did you ever get a text message from some and wonder what they were trying to tell you
u-you
r-are
well you get the idea.

I knew it was a hopeless case when I went to work for a business owned by a college and the door behind the receptionist said, "Employee's Only."

I, like Ken got an education in engineering. I don't have a clue if that should be I or me and quite frankly could care less. I don't think any more or less of you if you don't know how to solve E=MC squared. There are many forums for the improvement of writing styles, techniques and spelling but as I understand iRV2 is about rving

Heck, some of us just learned to type the other day and already you expect grammatically correct sentence. Lower the bar.
