Common sayings that are completely wrong
Driveway- we park on
Parkway- we drive on
Hot water heater- if the water is already hot you don’t need to heat it
Light bulb- bulbs are planted in the ground lamps are put in fixtures
Any others out there?

Pocketbook..........not a book nor does it fit in a pocket
Sidewalk.............it's a main walkway not something one does on the side
Head over Heels.........unless I am doing hand stands my head is always over my heels
AS for 'hot water heater'
After the initial heating cycle you ARE heating hot water........t-stat closes at 100/110*F which my definition is 'hot'

I could care less - it means you care about whatever you're talking about. You should say "I couldn't care less" to show that you don't care.

how are you? When they are really trying to say "Hi". Does anyone ever answer truthfully?
Ton of .... People will say there are a ton of things when those "things" are just ideas that have no weight.

Always trust your GPS!
Watch out for the Idiots on the road. (Ok the rude drivers).
Trust the "weatherman".
Trust, but Verify
The MPG gauge says I'm getting 12 so it must be true.
Checking in we are 39', but when bragging I'm 42'.
I believe everything on the internet!

You do not want to get rid of your hands. You wash your hands.

Jack and Jill went UP the hill to fetch a pail of water.
Shouldn't the water have been at the bottom of the hill?

Incorrect....
Along these lines but not exactly -
I enjoy saying "Half of one, Six dozen of the other" and folks say "Yeah. I know what you mean" and seldom if ever LISTEN to what I just said.....
