This is the best advice you can get. Be sure to contact the credit card company as soon as possible. There is a time limit for contesting charges. The credit card companies do this all the time. Over the years we've had a few errant or dishonest charges on a credit card. A quick call to the credit card company solved everything within a few minutes. We didn't even have to fill out any forms.

I would really like to know if Visa will eventually back him up and refund. And if they ever do and Beechwood has no money to refund Visa, who absorbs the loss?

I'm thinking Visa can easily reverse a transaction within minutes, but after >30 days??

The refund is nearly immediate. There's a list of reasons, all logical, why the credit card company will be more than willing to reverse a charge on your card. The biggest you need to get by is the fact you've tried to iron out the situation by communicating with the selling party, trying to settle the issue on your own. That done, it's all over for the seller. They'll comply if they ever want to be able to do another transaction via credit card....

Regarding the time since transaction, if you tell them you've been trying to iron this out that entire time, and been getting the run around, I don't think you'll have much of an issue. Over 90 days? Might not be so sure, but I'd darn sure try it in a case like this one....

Whenever a sales person is pushing you beyond comfort the deal is usually shady and you need to RUN in the other direction. If they have a good product they do not need to shove it down your throat.

Sorry for your problems. We were approached about a time share years ago and because we would NOT sign up they kept sending us up to the next person trying to force us into it. We finally announced we were leaving and they tried to stop us. They were informed to move out of the way or we were calling the police and stating we were being held against our will. They moved, we left.

Sorry to be on the flip side but our story goes this way.
We received a postcard in the mail from a resort offering 3 nights 4 days at one of there resorts FREE, all we had to do was listen to a 90 minutes sales pitch about there resorts and all the GS camp grounds we could use. I started to fall a sleep 45 minutes into the sales pitch. (I might say the guy was pretty cool for 70 something). The pitch ended soon after I woke up... (front row).
Then we got a tour of the resort by a young guy & a golf cart pretty nice, again no pressure we told him we couldn't afford the place but he was okay with that I guess. No pressure at all. This was on a Sat morning. We went back to the camp site and enjoyed the place FREE until Monday.
We went down there knowing we could not afford the deal but we got 3 nights and 4 days FREE, Plus a 75 dollar gift card to CW.
I think we got a pretty good deal.
Tim,
ps we have not heard from them since either!!!!

Perhaps you should consider contacting the WA State Attorney General's office with a complaint and dispute the charge with the credit card company. Then come up and check out the Lake Tyee Recreational Community near Concrete, WA

I have dealt with Good Sam, and Camping World for years. I can honestly say I have never had any issues that they did not take care of, and indeed check back with me to make sure everything was still alright.

Unfortunately, these people that pulled this on you, can't get to HELL soon enough.

I really don't understand these things. Is there not, in the Canadian language, a word that means NO? Why do people get mixed up in these things. Whatever happened to common sense?

Question, after lie number 1 why did you proceed ?
Question, after lie number 2 why did you proceed ?
After lie number 3, I would say you're on your own and let the buyer beware !
