Sequim Guy, there was a possibility in the middle of the bailouts that Canada was going to ante up and purchase you all from China. We had a rethink though because we would have got stuck with California, which is way too Liberal even for us.

I for one would have no problem moving to the states, but my wife has a problem with that idea. She wanted to retain our health care and won't listen to me that if we pull the equity we have here, (1/2 million property) and buy a place in Casa Grande Az we would have about $400,000.00 to buy our annual health care with.

Be careful you may end up with a lot more Canadian neighbours than you had when you lived , I believe, just across from Victoria.

Actually, growing up, I could see Victoria from my bedroom window.

I'll take you for neighbors anytime, it's the ones that sneak up from the southern border are the ones we don't want.

Hmmm, the united states of north america has a pretty good ring to it....
And then we could be a manufaturer again, after all, nearly all american cars and trucks are made in either canada or mexico.
Only toyotas and hondas are made in the usa...

Maybe you could start an online petition and forward it to our Prime Minister.
