Death Valley movies or shows?
Headed into Death Valley in a couple of days and we are looking for movies that take place there or TV documentaries ect. Anybody have suggestions? Won't have streaming so HULU ect are out but can download, I hope.

Found an old John Wayne that was shot there. Not sure if I can get a copy in the before we get there but will try.
Then there is this: Cherry 2000. It was actually shop in Death Valley too.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092746/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
Thanks for the Youtube references. If we can actually get enough signal we will enjoy them Youtube might actually be the best source but chances are that we won't have a wifi there.
Parts of return of the Jedi were shot there.
Death Valley days was made in Utah! Disappointed in them....

Cell signal is very sketchy. We were able to get a signal in Furnace Creek on Verizon but those with a different carrier were having trouble. If you plan to watch them in DV best to download/record them now.

If you are interested old movies, go west from Death Valley to Lone Pine, CA. There is a great movie museum there with lots of area history. Just west of Lone Pine is the Alabama Hills with Mount Whitney in the background. If you've ever seen an old western you've seen the Alabama Hills. There have been over 200 movies shot there and it's still being used for a lot of TV commercials on air now. A very unique area of the country that we stumbled into by accident and thoroughly enjoyed.

Yes. I believe we will if we can get a DL here. Deat6h Valley Days was renamed after 20 mule teal Borax became their sponsor. They are the same. Much of the Borax was mined here. Se have been to the site. Although the series was shop in Utah it will have things that are pertinent to the area and just good fun.
So far we have found a ton of info from a bunch of places on youtube thanks to a suggestion here. There are two movies we got that were partly shot here. The second Star Wars is one and Cherry 2000 was largely done here. We recognized a lot of the terrain. It is a hilariously schlocky movie with a few famous people in it.

From Dusk till Dawn by Tarantino!
There's a guy on youtube redoing the wheels for the borax wagons, the dry air has shrunk the wood enough everything has to be resized. Interesting if you like that kind of thing.

Nice. Thanks. We are in a campground near Lone Pine right now. Fantastic view of the mountains with some snow on them.
