Didn't Know Their Were Folks Like These!!

Hi ALL:

I just HAD to place this post here under the "Just Conversation" area in an attempt to bring your attention to something absolutely AMAZING!!

Further down in this forum, Under the "RV CAMPING" section and under the "CROSSROADS" area, is a request from "Retired and Happy" labled: "Stone Mountain, GA to Cheyenne/Rapid and Return."

I'd picked up on this a few days ago, and after a few exchanges with Retired and Happy, I'm TOTALLY blown away by what these folks are doing!!!!!!

I didn't know there were folks like these left in the world!! PLEASE take a moment to read this thread located here. Makes me want to smile and cry!!

Say,.....might there be a project here for our iRV2 Community??? Steve & Lynette

We had the chance to spend almost a week at the 2008 National with Retired and Happy. These are by all means the most outstanding people we have ever had the good fortune to meet. The Angels are absolute angles for sure. God Bless these fine people and others like them.

Thanks Steve & Lynette for putting this thread about Retired & Happy over here where a lot more of the iRV2 family can read about the wonderful things they are doing.
I give them a lot of credit as it is not an easy thing to do. My one Daughter was also a foster parent and went on to adopt 3 of the children. You don't know how many times we would be awaken at 5 am with a phone call that DYFS just dropped off another child with special needs. DYFS knew that they could call our daughter 1-2-3 am and drop off children.
These children sometimes would be sick enough that they would have to go to the hospital right away, she had one that weight 8 pounds and was 4 months old, the DR told her she may not make it, she did and 15 years later she is one of our Grandkids.
The kind of children that Retired & Happy take in are some of the hardest to take care of and we have nothing but praise for them as we know what it is to take care of Children like that for only up to 2 weeks.

Steve, coming from you no problem. The remark goes back a long way, as some of the people I worked with could never think on their own or handle change. I spent over 35 years in the fire service, retiring as Chief Fire Inspector. The other remark to the guys I worked with was "take your heads out of the sand".
Now back on subject. Again TY for the thread.
Joe
